Steve Jobs Promises More Apple Phones

People can expect more phones coming from Apple, Inc.

This company recently introduced the first phone compatible with its iTunes music service.

However, this phone has been widely criticized for its lack of Storage capacity. Because Apple was worried that this device would cut into sales of its iPods, iTunes will only transfer 100 songs to this phone.

Clearly this hasn't had any effect on Apple's enthusiasm for the idea, though.

In a recent interview with Fortune, Apple's CEO Steve Jobs said, "There are more phones yet to roll out."

A Smartphone?

The first iTunes compatible model, the Motorola ROKR E1, is what is typically described as a feature phone. Many are hoping that Apple will make a smartphone with more functionality.

There is some cause for hope, as Motorola CEO Ed Zander said recently, "We know that they [Apple] are going to build a smartphone -- it's only a matter of time."
