Information Appliance Associates has released PocketMac BlackBerry Edition, the first tool to allow Mac users to synchronize data with RIM BlackBerry handhelds.

This software gives users a tool for two-way synchronization of their handhelds' contact information with Microsoft Entourage, the OS X Address Book, and Now Software's Now Contact.

It also allows two-way synchronization of events and tasks with Entourage, iCal, and Now Up-To-Date.

Entourage Notes are also synchronized, as well as notes stored as Stickies.

PocketMac BlackBerry Edition PocketMac BlackBerry Edition offers complete support for both USB-based and serial-based BlackBerry devices. It is integrated with Apple's iSync.

When users put their BlackBerry in their USB cradle, PocketMac will automatically sync their handheld with their Mac; they do not have to manually initiate a sync each time.

PocketMac BlackBerry Edition is available now for $29.95. For additional information or online purchase, visit the Information Appliance Associates web site.
