Update for Palm Tungsten C

Palm has posted a ROM update for its Wi-Fi enabled Tungsten C that fixes various bugs. Specifically, it fixes a problem with MAC addresses, reduces audio popping and clicking sounds from the built-in speaker, and several other changes.

Connecting Your Pocket PC to the Outside World

Pocket PC Thoughts' Ed Hansberry will be putting on a Microsoft TechNet Webcast today on connecting a Pocket PC to either the Internet or a corporate LAN. It is free of charge and begins at 1:00 pm Eastern or 10:00 am Pacific.

Treo 270 Now Available on AT&T Networks

Handspring, Inc. has announced that its Treo 270 smartphone is now available on the AT&T Wireless nationwide GSM/GPRS network. It was already available from T-Mobile. New and current AT&T Wireless customers can purchase a Treo 270 for $399, or for $249 when adding an optional AT&T Wireless Mobile Internet (GPRS data) plan to a voice plan.

The Treo 270 is a wireless smartphone that offers both voice and data capabilities.It?s also a full-featured Palm OS handheld. It has an integrated mini keyboard and a 160 by 160 pixel color screen.

Return to the Thrilling Days of Yesteryear

Clickgamer is now offering Pocket Odyssey2, an Odyssey2 / Videopac+ emulator for Pocket PC. This offers true cycle-based emulation of the entire hardware. Over 124 games are available for this system from the 1980s. Pocket Odyssey2 sells for $4.95.

Presenter-to-Go comes to OS X

MARGI Systems' Presenter-to-Go presentation tool is now compatible with Mac OS X v10.2 (Jaguar). Previously, MARGI support for Macintosh was limited to OS versions 8.5 to 9.2. The new version is available as a free upgrade.

With Presenter-to-Go, presentations can be created in PowerPoint, compressed, and transferred to a handheld and displayed via a digital projector in high-quality, full-color resolution. It allows users to selectively hide/show slides, drag/drop slides, view slide text and presentation notes, make on-screen annotations, and continuously loop slide shows. It comes with a bundled remote control.
