CalliGrapher 7 Now Available for Windows Mobile Devices

PhatWare has released CalliGrapher 7 handwriting recognition software for Pocket PC devices. The new version has been certified with the Designed for Microsoft Windows Mobile logo for use on the latest devices.

New features include a Configuration Manager for multiple configurations to allow easy switching between different spell-checking dictionaries and recognition engines and a customizable 24-button Soft Keyboard to speed entry of special characters not recognized automatically. A customizable toolbar is now included, as well as an improved correction window for faster corrections. There is a full onscreen keyboard as well that includes 10 predefined layouts for eight Western European languages.

CalliGrapher 7 supports Pocket PC 2000, 2002, and Windows Mobile 2003 devices. An updated version of CalliGrapher 6.x for handheld PCs such as the HP Jornada 720 is expected in the near future.
