Sega and Palm, Inc. have ported five classic Sega games to the Palm OS.
This includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Shinobi, Super Columns, and Shining Force II: The Sword of Hajya.
Unfortunately for many users, these games run only on the Palm Tungsten T. The companies say they require the processing power of an ARM-based chip but give no reason why they won't run on Sony's handhelds with Palm OS 5.
These games cost $20 each and are available now.
For those who would like to save some money, Mobile Digital Media plans to release a PalmPak Sega Classics Card. This will be an SD card with Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi. Super Columns, and Shining Force II: The Sword of Hajya. It will be available in retail stores in May for $30.
Sega and Palm intend to release more games in the future. These will be available individually and as collections on SD cards.
