Legacy

Redshift has released Legacy, a turn-based RPG game for Palm OS devices. The game is designed to be similar to old-style PC RPGs such as Might & Magic, Eye of the Beholder, and others. A variety of weapon types, armor, and monsters are included, as well as the ability to control a party of up to four adventurers.

Technical features include character animations and sound effects, HiRes+ 320 by 480 graphics on compatible devices, as well as full landscape orientation on the Tapwave Zodiac and Sony NX and NZ series devices. The current version requires Palm OS 5.0 or better, though the developer is also working on a Palm OS 4 version for future release.

Chukchi Kerling

Ballshooter Games has released Chukchi Kerling, a puzzle/board game for Pocket PC devices. The game is based on a traditional game played by the Chukchi people of Russia.

Features include colorful graphics and a high score list. Chukchi Kerling is $14.95 and is compatible with Pocket PC 2000, 2002, 2003, and Windows Mobile devices.

Ballshooter Games is also offering a special CD bundle with ten games for only $59.95, with free worldwide shipping.

StarBlaster

Games on the Go has released StarBlaster, its first game for the Windows Mobile smart phone platform. This space shooter puts the user in the cockpit of a scout craft on a mission to clear a path for the convoy of colonists attempting to find a new home after Earth is destroyed by a nova.

Features include smooth animation and special effects, a choice of three different ships, and thirty levels of gameplay. Enemies include aliens and bosses, and a powerup system is included. StarBlaster requires Windows Smartphone 2002 or 2003 and 1.3MB of Storage space.
