HP's official online store now has the iPAQ h4355 in stock and shipping today. This model was officially announced almost a month ago but is just now coming on the market. Its list price is $500.
The h4355 runs Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor, has 64 MB of RAM, and 32 MB of ROM.
It has a 3.5-inch, 16-bit transflective screen and an SD slot that supports SDIO. This device has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, giving it multiple options for connecting to the Internet without wires.
Wireless networking takes a lot of power and this iPAQ includes a 1500 mAh swappable battery.
Because it needs room for its thumboard, the h4355 is a bit longer than most handhelds. It is 5.5 inches long, 2.9 inches wide, and .6 inches thick (138.7mm by 74.6mm by 14.5mm). The weight is 5.8 ounces (165 g).
This model can be purchased now from HPshopping.com. It can also be found at MobilePlanet, who is also charging $500. Both are offering free ground shipping in the U.S.
For those who like everything about this model but the keyboard, HP also offers the iPAQ h4155, which when on sale last month.
