Future iPAQ to Include Folding Keyboard?

Courtesy of Pocket PC Thoughts Earlier this year, Jose Tormo, President Embedded and Personal Systems of Hewlett Packard, gave a presentation in which he talked about emerging technologies, including new handheld designs. PocketPcItalia.com has a video of a prototype of an HP handheld that Mr. Tormo mentioned during this presentation.

It has a clam-shell shape with the handheld on one side and a keyboard on the other. Unlike other handhelds with integrated keyboards, this device doesn't use a small thumbboard. Instead, it has a full-sized folding keyboard that looks quite similar to the Stowaway XT just released by Think Outside.

It's not known if HP has any plans to release this device.

Mr. Tormo's PowerPoint presentation, which was given at the HP NSP Partner Symposium, is available on the company's website, though it gives no real information on this handheld.

Thanks to Pocket PC Thoughts for the tip and the image.
