Legend Group has unveiled two New Handhelds for the Chinese market. These are the first to run Palm OS 5 Simplified Chinese Edition.

Courtesy of Hi PDA The Lenovo P100 is an entry-level handheld for users requiring simple personal information management functionality, including a DateBook and a Calendar. It has a monochrome 320-by-320 pixel screen, 8 MB of RAM, and 8 MB of ROM.

The Lenovo P300 model (pictured at right) offers advanced functions and additional applications such as email, expense tracking and currency conversion. It has a color 320-by-320 pixel screen, 16 MB of RAM, and 8 MB of ROM.

Both have a Motorola i.MXL processor, an SD/MMC memory card slot, and video and MP3 players.

In addition to Palm OS PIM functionality, the P300 and P100 come bundled with English learning tools, including Mintel's Smart Memory Engine. Recommended to students by educational institutions, this solution also provides video English teaching programs that can be displayed on the handheld.
