Microsoft has released a new version of its ebook reader for Pocket PCs. The most significant change is added support for the latest version of the operating system, Windows Mobile Second Edition.
Handhelds running the latest version of Microsoft Reader on a Windows Mobile SE handheld can now rotate their ebook between portrait and landscape modes.
No matter which version of Windows Mobile is being used, Microsoft Reader now offers pan and zoom capabilities for embedded graphics. After zooming in, users can pan around the graphic to take a closer look at any area.
Microsoft Reader 2.3 is a free download from Microsoft's web site.
Ebooks can be purchased from a large number of stores, including Amazon.com, Fictionwise, Microsoft's ebook store, and many more.
