Research In Motion (RIM) has just announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Motorola, Inc. Through this deal, Motorola will be able to add BlackBerry services to its smart phones, including support for both BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Web Client.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server allows smart phone users to access their email and other information on their company's Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino servers.
Individual users can manage their existing personal and corporate email accounts with the BlackBerry Web Client.
Though RIM makes the lion's share of its revenues from selling BlackBerry wireless handhelds, it also licenses its technology to other companies, including Sony Ericsson, Siemens, T-Mobile, O2, and many more.
Details of the licensing agreement with Motorola were not announced.
