PocketPC Techs has announced several new models of the Lil' Sync USB Sync-n-Charge cables to support additional handheld devices. New options include the entire Handspring Treo series, the Samsung SPH-i500, and the Dell Axim X3 Series. Each cable provides the convenience of retractibility for portability.
The Treo and i500 versions are available now, while the Axim X3 one is expected later this month. There are already versions on the market for a variety of Palm OS and Pocket PC models. AllLil' Sync USB Sync-n-Charge cables sell for $15.99.
A new Lil' Sync 4AA Battery Adapter has also been announced. This features a voltage reduction circuit to ensure that expensive handheld devices are not damaged due to the differing voltages that different types of AA batteries can give off. The battery adapter is designed to be used with a Lil' Sync cable and allows mobile devices to be charged anywhere, without a computer's USB port or an electric socket. The company is taking preorders for the Lil' Sync Battery Adapter at $24.99. Its anticipated release date is December 5 at the latest.
