Earlier this year, SCOTTeVEST got the attention of lots of gadget lovers by announcing a jacket with flexible thin-film photovoltaic panels built into its back. It is now taking pre-orders for this product.
The solar panels will allow users to recharge their USB compatible devices on the go, either while wearing the jacket or with the panels removed. According to SCOTTeVEST , typical charge times in direct sunlight range from 2-3 hours, but direct sunlight is not required.
The jacket will also have conduits built in so users can easily wire their various gadgets together.
Pre-orders for the Solar eVEST are being taken now at $535. The regular price will be $625.
