Almost lost on the furor surrounding the release of the Tungsten E2 was palmOne's decision to drop the official price of its Wi-Fi SD card.

When this wireless networking card debuted, it cost $129. Starting last week, that price dropped to $99.

This should help calm the complaints of those who pointed out that this card previously cost considerably more than other Wi-Fi SD cards.

More About plamOne's Wi-Fi SD Card

This card uses the 802.11b standard. It can transfer data at up to 11 Mbps and has a maximum range of 300 feet.

It is the only Wi-Fi SD card that works with the Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, and Zire 72.

The software necessary to let the just-released Tungsten E2 use this card will be available next month.

At this time, these are the only models compatible with this card.
