A few weeks ago, a Taiwanese news site leaked word that Motorola is planning to release in 2004 three new smart phones running Windows Mobile. Now, a picture of what is supposedly one of these models has been found.
Around the middle of this month, DigiTimes reported that Motorola has asked Compal to manufacture the MPx100. However, no other information was available about this device at that time.
Today, msmobiles.com has what it claims is a picture of the MPx100. This shows a clamshell device with an external antenna. It also appears to have a built-in digital camera, as so many smart phones do.
Motorola has already released the MPx200. According to rumor, it is expected to release next year the MPx100, MPx220, and MPx300. Judging from the model numbers, the MPx100 will be a low-end model.
