RumorMill™: Motorola Planning Not One But Three Windows Mobile Smart Phones

Recently, rumors have been circulating about Motorola's plans to release the MPx220, a smart phone that will run Windows Mobile and offer Bluetooth and a camera. Today, emerged even more evidence that these rumors are true, plus the first word of Motorola's plans for two additional Windows powered smart phones.

According to DigiTimes, Motorola has asked Chi Mei Communication Systems (CMCS) to manufacture the MPx220. This is the same company making Motorola's current model, the MPx200. The article doesn't say much about this device, but does confirm that it will have a camera and Bluetooth.

In addition, DigiTimes says that Motorola has also asked Compal to make the MPx100 and MPx300. Unfortunately, no details at all are available about either one of these models.

Both CMCS and Compal are based in Taiwan and manufacture electronics for many different companies.

When any of these models will be released is not yet known, besides the fact that they will be out in 2004.
