Some of the most hotly anticipated products of this season are the iPAQ h4155 and iPAQ h4355. Though they have not yet been officially announced by HP, one of them has the FCC approval to be released, and both of them are now listed on eCost.
Internally, these two will be quite similar and both will offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, their outer appearances will be quite different. The h4355 will have a built-in small keyboard, while the h4155 will not. The 4155 is actually close in size to HP's popular h1900 series.
The eCost listing brings no additional information to light about these models, but it does help to confirm previous rumors.
Both models will run Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PCs on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor, and will have 64MB of RAM. They will include an SD slots, a 3.5" color screen, and a removable battery.
eCost is offering the h4155 for $425, and the h4355 for $472. According to rumor, the list prices for these will be $450 and $500, respectively.
It isn't unusual for an online retailer to accidentally post the details of an unannounced handheld on their web site. The information leaked in this way is generally fairly accurate, with occasional errors.
