For the second time in just a couple of months, Palm, Inc. has cut the price of its flagship handheld.
In mid- 2005, when Palm introduced the first Mobile Manager, this device cost $500. In January, this price dropped to $450.
Today, the official cost for a LifeDrive was cut to $400.
This move is sure to spark speculation that Palm is going to introduce a replacement model soon. Spring is typically a time when this company refreshes its product line.
Palm's latest high-end model runs Palm OS Garnet on a 416 MHz XScale processor.
Its most notable feature is its built-in 4 GB hard drive.
In addition, this device has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 1.1 wireless networking.
It also has a 320-by-480-pixel display and an SD card slot.
More information is available on Palm's web site.
