Sony has cut the prices for the mid-range PEG-SJ33 and the entry-level PEG-SJ22. In addition, it is offering a $30 rebate off the cost of the PEG-SJ20. It has also dropped the high-end NX60 from its line-up.

PEG-SJ33 The SJ33, which debuted in February of this year for $300, has had its price reduced to $220 on Sony's official web-store, SonyStyle. The SJ33 runs Palm OS 4.1 on a 66 MHz processor. It also offers an MP3 player, a 320-by-320 pixel screen, and 16 MB of memory. It is available in a variety of colors.

Sony has also dropped the price of the SJ22 to $180. This was first released in March for $200. It includes a high-resolution color screen, 16 MB of memory, a 33 MHz processor, and Palm OS 4.1.

SonyStyle is offering a $30 mail-in rebate off the SJ20, bringing its cost down to just $100. Like all of Sony's low-cost models, it runs Palm OS 4.1 and has a 320-by-320 pixel screen, but the SJ20 is the company's last monochrome model. It has 16 MB of RAM. The SJ20 entered the market almost a year ago.

And finally, Sony is no longer offering the NX60, a high-end model that debuted in October of last year. However, this device can still be found at some retailers.

Of course, these are simply the list prices for these models. A price comparison service like Shopper.com can find stores with lower prices. It can also give the names of quite a few stores still carrying the NX60.
