MUNICH, Germany -- At the PalmSource Euro DevCon 2004, SplashData, Inc., the leading developer of "virtual wallet" applications for mobile devices, announced the release of localized versions of its popular SplashWallet applications for Palm Powered smart mobile devices. The individual applications, which can be purchased separately or collectively as part of the SplashWallet suite, include SplashID, SplashMoney, SplashPhoto and SplashShopper. Localized versions of these applications will be available in French, German, Italian and Spanish languages.
SplashData has made it very simple for customers to download and install the localized versions. Rather than offering separate versions for each language, SplashData offers a single installer that allows the user to choose their preferred language during installation. The software can be downloaded and purchased from the company's Web site, www.splashdata.com, or from a number of third-party distributors, including Handango, PalmGear, pdassi, and mobile2day, among others.
The SplashWallet Suite is a collection of the following four applications:
SplashID securely maintains personal identification information on both the mobile device and desktop computer while offering a host of features aimed at organizing and securing sensitive information. The localized version of SplashID is now available.
SplashMoney is a personal finance application for Palm Powered handhelds that allows users to manage finances while on the go. The localized version of SplashMoney is now available.
SplashPhoto offers a fast, easy-to-use image viewer for handhelds and includes a desktop catalog feature with two-way synchronization, offering the easiest means of managing photos on a desktop PC and handheld device. The localized version of SplashPhoto is now available.
SplashShopper is a shopping list application for Palm Powered handhelds that is perfect for keeping lists of groceries to buy, movies to rent, CDs to buy, books to read, etc. The localized version of SplashShopper will be available in October 2004.
