DataViz, Inc is now offering Beyond Contacts, a suite of Palm OS applications that seeks to allow the user to access all the information in Microsoft Outlook on their handheld.
This handles Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes. Users can also access their Inbox messages with Beyond Contacts.
"Palm OS handheld users want all their Outlook data at their fingertips, without having to think about it," said Rob Hoxie, DataViz. "Beyond Contacts automatically synchronizes all Outlook information to the handheld, organized just as it was on the desktop. There is no special setup required if a handheld user wants to view meeting location and attendees, or synchronize multiple addresses. This software is a true Outlook companion. It combines the functionality of the desktop application with the simplicity of the Palm OS."
This application is available immediately and sells for $50. Those who own Desktop To Go or any other DataViz product can get Beyond Contacts for $30. The company also offers a competitive discount of $20 for those who have a similar product made by another company.
Chapura is currently working on KeySuite, which will do much the same thing as Beyond Contacts, except KeySuite won't handle email. Chapura's application will be released this summer. Pricing is not yet known.
