Think Outside, creator of the Stowaway line of portable keyboards, is now taking pre-orders for the world's first portable Bluetooth keyboard.

The Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard is a full-sized keyboard that folds up to make it more portable. It closely resembles the company's Stowaway XT line of keyboards.

Because this device uses Bluetooth wireless networking, it works with a wide variety of portable devices. It can be used with handhelds running Windows Mobile for Pocket PC and Symbian-based smart phones. At present there is no Palm OS driver for this peripheral, though Think Outside is working on one.

It can also be used with Macintosh and Windows XP-based desktop and notebook computers with integrated Bluetooth.

Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard When closed, this Bluetooth Keyboard is 5.5 inches wide, 3.8 inches tall, and 0.7 inches thick. It opens to expose a QWERTY keyboard that has 18 mm key spacing and 3 mm key travel. It includes a detachable stand to hold a PDA or smartphone. It runs off a pair of AAA batteries.

The Universal Bluetooth Keyboard will be available near the middle of this month. Think Outside is taking pre-orders for it now at its web site. It costs $150.
