Bitstream has released ThunderHawk 2.0 Pocket PC Edition, the latest version of its web browser that offers landscape support and compresses fonts and images to fit more of web pages onto the handheld's screen.
The new version offers more fluid Web page navigation, the ability to copy and paste text, and a more user-friendly keypad.
With ThunderHawk 2.0, a dropped connection is re-established immediately, along with any data previously entered.
New users, as well as current ThunderHawk 2.0 Pocket PC Preview Edition users, can download the 30-day free trial of the product release on the Bitstream web site, or subscribe to ThunderHawk for $49.95 per year or $5.95 per month.
In addition to the security and flexibility benefits for corporations, ThunderHawk 2.0 Enterprise Server Edition has a new fully-configured appliance offering, where Bitstream provides both the software and the hardware for purchase.
The advantage of this turnkey appliance is that the server software comes preconfigured so there is less of a burden on the enterprise IT department during the installation process.
