While most people can't make it to CeBIT, Rainer Gievers from Palmtop Magazin in Germany has kindly offered to allow Brighthand to use the pictures he took while at this giant trade show going on now.
Samsung is demonstrating the NEXiO s160, which runs Windows CE .NET. This has a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor and 128MB of SDRAM and 64MB of flash ROM. It has built-in Wi-Fi wireless networking.
The s160's screen is 800 by 480 pixels, at 16-bit color. It includes a CompactFlash slot. This device is 6.1 by 3.6 by .6 inches. It weighs 8.5 ounces without its battery installed.

Invair Technologies launched the Filewalker Messenger at CeBIT. This smartphone runs a version of the Linux operating system, includes a GSM/GPRS mobile phone, an integrated GPS module, Bluetooth wireless networking, and an SD/MMC slot.
It can do wireless voice and data, including email and Web surfing. It also has a suite of PIM applications.
However, this is a prototype and the final version may be different. The company is also considering a non-wireless version.

The Samsung i700 runs the Pocket PC Phone Edition. It is powered by an Intel XScale PXA250 processor and has 64 MB of RAM and 64 MB of ROM.
It has an integrated camera capable of taking 640 by 480 pixel images.
There are two versions of this device. The SGH-i700 is a GPRS world phone , while the SPH-i700 uses CDMA networks.

Hoeft & Wessel has tentatively agreed to buy 5,000 of BSQUARE's wireless handhelds and offer them in Europe. It is demonstrating this device at CeBIT.
It uses Windows CE .NET on an Intel XScale PXA250 processor running at up to 400 MHz. It has 64 MB of RAM and 32 MB of Flash ROM. It includes a 640 by 480 pixel screen, a keyboard, and the ability to connect to GSM/GPRS wireless networks.

Toshiba officially announced the e350 for CeBIT. This is a Pocket PC that runs the new Intel XScale PXA255 at 300 MHz. It has 64 MB of RAM and 16 MB of ROM.
The e350 has a 3.5 inch, transflective screen and an SD/MMC card slot. It is 4.9 by 3.15 by .5 inches. It weighs 5.25 ounces.
