iambic has released Agendus 9, a new version of its personal information manager for Palm OS devices.

The new version allows users to organize their To-Do items hierarchically, meaning sub-tasks can be added to any action item.

In addition, for the first time in a Palm OS application, Agendus 9 includes an Importance/Urgency matrix to help users set priorities.

Acknowledging that many Palm OS devices have the ability to connect wirelessly, Agendus 9 also introduces a special over-the-air feature that enables users to access weather information for any contact's geographical location in their address book.

Agendus 9's call-handling features automatically pop up during incoming calls, allowing the user to easily schedule meetings, send emails, create To Dos, etc.

A special meeting mode automatically puts the user's phone into silent mode when a scheduled meeting begins, and returns the phone back to its normal ring-tone when the meeting is scheduled to end.

Agendus 9 also includes a free time finder that automatically searches for available blocks of time to make scheduling meeting easier.

"This is, by far, the most exciting release of Agendus yet, and it very much maps to our overall plan of helping users unleash the power of their handheld devices," said Vidal Graupera, CEO and founder of iambic, Inc.

Agendus 9 Professional can be downloaded and purchased from the iambic web site for $39.95.

Agendus 9 Standard, which lacks some of the features of the Professional version, costs $29.95. A comparison of the two can be found on the iambic web site.
