Adding USB Host ability to PDAs has a number of very serious and positive implications. As the expansion options continue to climb, the need for other mobile computing devices, like laptops, may decline. This is also a major boon for the PPC platform as a whole. While Sony has incorporated a USB port in the cradle of the new NZ90, the Palm OS devices don't have anything like this. Toshiba includes USB connectivity on the 330/335 built-in, but this card now gives the Axim Line and iPAQ's with sleds the opportunity to catch up.
