Hampton Software Releases Palm OS VoIP Client
Despite the lack of new Wi-Fi Palm OS PDAs, developers are releasing VoIP software that works with both W-Fi and non-Wi-Fi enabled devices. Hampton Software Ltd. is the latest, with Articulation.
Supporting the SIP VoIP protocol, Articulation enables Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular-enabled Palm OS PDAs (external microphone needed for some models) to make and receive VoIP phone calls. It also supports echo cancellation, silence suppression, and lookup from the contact's list.
A trial of Articulation can be downloaded from the Hampton Software web site. It can be purchased for $37.94 (which unlocks the 1 minute call duration limit of the trial).
