According to Pocketinfo.nl, a web site based in the Netherlands, T-Mobile will soon announce plans to introduce a version of this device, called the Ameo.
The Athena/Ameo will supposedly have a unique design. This will start out in a standard enough fashion: a tablet with a touchscreen. Added to that, though, will a detachable QWERTY keyboard. The main unit can be connected to one side of the keyboard to make a laptop-like shape.
Very High End
Pocketinfo.nl is reporting that this Pocket PC will sport numerous high-end features, like a 5-inch VGA screen, an 8 GB hard drive, a GPS receiver, 3-megapixel camera, and HSDPA

It will supposedly run Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition on a 624 MHz processor.
In addition, to HSDPA (2100 MHz for Europe), the Ameo reportedly will have quad-band GSM with EDGE. It will also offer Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0.
Not surprisingly, this won't be a small device. Just the main unit is expected to be 5.2 inches wide, 3.8 inches tall, and 0.8 inches thick (97mm x 133mm x 20mm).
It will supposedly have a 2100 mAh battery and a miniSD slot.
According to Pocketinfo.nl, the T-Mobile Ameo will be available in Europe in a few weeks for an undisclosed price. There's no word from this source if this handheld will be released by T-Mobile USA.
Several more pictures of this Pocket PC can be found on the Dutch web site.
