A high-level Dell executive has revealed that his company is thinking about creating a mobile device devoted to gaming.
The head of gaming for Dell worldwide, Abizar Vakharia, was recently asked by PC Plus if his company plans to release a gaming-oriented handheld. Vakharia responded by saying, "You know, that's definitely one that's on the radar screen".
Not surprisingly, the Dell executive did not give any additional details about his company's plans.
However, the author of the PC Plus article was willing to speculate that this device will be a UMPC, but it could just as easily be based on Windows Mobile. Dell has been offering the Axim series of Pocket PCs for several years now, so it has experience in this area.
Whether the device runs Windows Vista or Windows Mobile, there are already a large number of games available on the market for it.
