400,000 .mobi Domain Names Now Registered
dotMobi, the company behind the .mobi Top Level Domain (TLD) designed specifically for mobile devices, today announced more than 400,000 .mobi domains have been registered in 104 countries since the domain's launch in October of last year. As a comparison, only 100,000 .com domain names were registered in the first ten years of that domain's existence.
In addition to general domain sales through registrars, dotMobi is going to hold an auction for highly desired domain names. This includes "airfare," "areacodes," "cam," "casinos," "creditscore," "directions," "eat," "libre," "loancalculator," "models," "newmusic," "pics," "pizza," "realestate," and "singles."
More information is available on the dotMobi web site.
