This update was designed to enhance this device's roaming capabilities, especially when outside of the United States. In addition, Samsung says there are some user interface improvements, by which it means that several icons have been changed.
What Samsung has released is a ROM update, and installing it will require all information and third-party applications stored on the device to be deleted. That's why it is necessary for the BlackJack to be synchronized with a PC before the update is installed, as this will backup all the data stored on it.
The system software update can be download from Samsung's web site. There is no charge for it.
