It has been known for some time that this upgrade was coming, but T-Mobile would never before say exactly exactly when.
Dash owners should be pleased to learn that the Windows Mobile upgrade will be available for free.
The upgrade will be available online beginning tomorrow on T-Mobile's web site.
The Dash with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6 Standard pre-installed will go on sale in June.
What's New In Windows Mobile 6
Of course, the Dash launched running Windows Mobile 5. The changes in the next version of this operating system won't be radical, but will certainly be welcomed by many users. The new version will be able to display HTML-formatted email, for example.
It will also include Mobile Office applications for the first time, allowing users to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files.
In addition, it gives users access to Windows Live services, including Windows Live Messenger.
