DataViz has just announced that it is bringing its Microsoft Office editing suite to a new mobile platform. Documents To Go for BlackBerry will let users access, view, edit, and create Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in their native formats on their devices.
In addition, this application will include DataViz's InTact Technology, which lets users retain complex file formatting when receiving, editing and sending files to and from a BlackBerry smartphone.
Non-BlackBerry users are probably already familiar with Documents To Go. A Palm OS version was first released in in 1999, and DataViz has since introduced ones for Symbian UIQ, Nokia's S80, and Windows Mobile Smartphone.
Coming "Soon"
Despite today's announcement, the company hasn't revealed when the BlackBerry version of Documents To Go will be released, aside from the vague statement that it will be available "later this year".
Those who are interested can sign up on DataViz's web site to be notified when this application is released.
