VITO SmartNavigator Released

VITO SmartNavigator is a new Windows Mobile application that combines the best features of two of VITO Technology's best-sellers: VITO SmartMap and VITO Navigator II.

With maps support and track recording, SmartNavigator was designed for off-road traveling and geocaching. It provides useful trip information like speed, direction and distance to a destination point, compass, current time, and active satellites.

In addition, this application displays a track of movements on a map. Users can set pushpins to mark their places of interest. Pushpins can be set only for certain tracks or for all maps and tracks.

SmartNavigator uses vtm maps available from VITO Technology, or users can create their own maps with a free VITO MapManager.

It currently supports both Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0.

VITO SmartNavigator can be purchased for $29.95 from VITO Technology's web site, or a two week trial is available.

2400 mAh USB Power Backup Now Available from Brando

Online retailer Brando's Workshop has a portable recharger for a wide variety of devices. It lets users top off the battery in their smartphone, MP3 player, GPS receiver, etc., as long as the portable device supports charging through the USB port.

The USB Power Backup offers the standard 5V-USB DC output, and has 2400 mAh of storage. The recharger itself can be charged through an electrical socket or its USB port.

It is 2.75 inches by 2.0 inches by 0.5 inches (70 mm by 50 mm by 12mm), and available in white or black.

Babble Soft Introduces Software for the Parents of Newborn Babies

Babble Soft has announced the launch of its Baby Manager Web and Mobile service. This is an application, with Web and mobile components, designed to help parents figure out their baby's patterns and cues to ensure its health and happiness.

It helps users track the last time their baby ate, took medicine, or had its diaper changed to determine whether it might be hungry, tired, need another dose of medicine, or just wants to be held.

Data can be recorded on a Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone and later synchronized with the online version of this application.

Palm Now Offering Palm Treo 680 Smartphone in Dominican Republic
