Late last year, E-TEN unveiled the Glofiish X500, a slim Pocket PC phone. Today, the company has taken the wraps off an updated version -- the X500+ -- that adds a VGA screen.

Details on this device are somewhat sketchy at this point, but E-TEN did make it clear this model will run Windows Mobile 6 Professional, or what used to be called the Pocket PC Phone Edition.
Significant Differences
Although the X500+ will have the same general form factor as its predecessor, the X500, there will be some major changes. And, unfortunately, many of these will be features removed in the upcoming model.
While the X500+ will have a higher-resolution screen and an updated operating system, unlike the current device it apparently won't have Wi-Fi or a GPS receiver.
Similarities
E-TEN hasn't said much about the wireless capabilities of the X500+ but the company did say it won't have 3G cellular-wireless networking. This means it will most likely be a GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone.
It will also sport a 2-megapixel camera.
This wasn't specifically said, but the upcoming model will probably include a microSD card slot, just as the current one does.
As with the original, the new model will be just 0.6 inches thick. It will be 4.5 inches tall and 2.4 inches wide (113.5 mm by 60.5 mm by 15.5 mm).
It will be available in either silver or black.
Despite today's announcement, E-TEN has not said when the Glofiish X500+ will be available or what it will cost.
