Research In Motion (RIM) recently promised that it would start integrating Wi-Fi into its products before the end of this year. This might include an updated version of the BlackBerry Pearl.
This smartphone is going to get a fairly significant update in a few months, according to The Boy Genius Report. The new version -- supposedly called the BlackBerry 8120 -- will have the same general size and shape as the current one, but include Wi-Fi.
And that won't be the only improvement. RIM is also supposed to add a GPS receiver to this upcoming model, and upgrade its camera to 2.0 megapixels.
In addition, the 8120 will reportedly be available in a variety of colors: black, red, titanium, blue, and gold.
If this unconfirmed report is correct, RIM will introduce this model in the U.S. and Canada in September.
