Gigabyte Technology has launched its first UMPC in its home country of Taiwan, and has plans to introduce this device on the world market later this year.
The U60 has a 6.5-inch, 800-by-600-pixel touchscreen and a sliding keyboard.
Customers have a choice of a 20 GB or 30 GB hard drive, plus this device has an SD/MMC memory card slot.
In addition, the U60 has Wi-Fi b/g and some form of 3G/3.5G cellular-wireless networking.
This UMPC runs on a VIA C7-M processor and sports two USB ports.
