The iPAQ 510 Voice Messenger -- HP's first smartphone running Windows Mobile 6 -- has recently become available from a variety of stores, but not through any carriers.

HP began showing this model off earlier this year, but it hasn't been on the market until now. It is currently being sold by HP and some online retailers.
However, there was no formal announcement of this from HP, possibly because no wireless carrier is offering this iPAQ. Instead, it is available as an unlocked version, which can be used with any GSM carrier.
While this gives consumers more flexibility, it means that it is being sold without a subsidy to reduce the cost. HP is offering it for $320.
An Overview of the iPAQ 510
Unlike previous cellular-wireless iPAQs, the 510 has a numberpad, not a built-in keyboard. Its 2-inch, QVGA display isn't a touchscreen, as it runs Windows Mobile 6 Standard.
This is a quad-band GSM phone with GPRS and EDGE. It doesn't have any form of 3G cellular-wireless networking, but it does sport both Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth.
The 510 uses a 200 MHz TI 850 OMAP processor, and includes 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM.
A microSD card slot and 1100 mAh battery round out this device.
This iPAQ is 4.7 inches tall, 2.8 inches wide, and 0.7 inches thick. It weighs 5.8 ounces.
