Celebrate 4th July with Fireworks from Astraware
With the 4th of July fast approaching, Astraware has released a new version of Fireworks. This is a free application, showing sequences of fireworks flying and exploding into the air while playing tunes such as the Star Spangled Banner and Stars and Stripes Forever and showing patriotic backgrounds of the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Stars and Stripes.
Fireworks is available for devices running Palm OS and Windows Mobile, and offers support for 240-by240-pixel square screens and QVGA landscape smartphones. It can be downloaded for free to a Windows Mobile or Palm OS device from the Astraware web site.
Chapura Launches CallsToJournal for Windows Mobile
Voice is still the most popular use for mobile devices, and Chapura's latest release of CallsToJournal for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices seeks to bridge the gap between the voice call and advanced call logging.
This application keeps track of smartphone conversations on the users desktop by uploading the call log to Outlook Journal entries, and linking them to the corresponding Outlook Contacts. These detailed entires keeps track of when calls happen, and are editable via Outlook to send to other programs or upload to the smartphone for additional record keeping.
CallsToJournal is available for $19.95 on the Chapura Web site and requires Windows Mobile 5 or 6 and Microsoft Outlook.
