mDigger Mobile Internet Information Browser Released

With more and more mobile devices adding wireless connectivity, having easy access to information is becoming more important than ever. mDigger is a free, mobile Internet information browser for Windows Mobile devices that aims to bring the online Internet into a usable offline solution.

It is comprised of the mDigger service and the mDigger Reader application which combine to let users view, organize, share, save and update different types of information gathered from the web on their devices. SplashID 4 for Palm OS Now Available

Splash Data has released a new version of its SplashID password manager for Palm OS handhelds and smartphones. Both the mobile application and the companion Windows desktop software have been updated.

Key new features of SplashID 4's handheld software include:

• Four additional data fields for filling in information, bringing the total number of fields in each SplashID record to ten, plus a Notes field.
• Enhanced Password Generator, automatically generating passwords that fit specific criteria, and rating the strength and security of selected passwords.
• The ability to email records, with SplashID automatically exporting a secure vID file and attaching it to an email message that can be sent to colleagues.

SplashID 4 for Palm OS and Windows is available at splashdata.com for $29.95.  Current users can upgrade for $9.95.

SplashData will be bringing the upgrades in SplashID 4 to other platforms -- including Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Mac OS -- later in 2007.

ToySoft Announces Updates to Popular Applications

ToySoft, maker of a variety of popular Palm OS programs, has released updates to a suite of applications under its umbrella.

• LightWav 2.4: a call manager and phone application enhancement for Palm OS Treos. Features the assigning of MP3/OGG/WAV ringtones, caller ID manager, full screen picture ID, animated and live video CallerID, SMS blocking, and more.
• Fake Call 2.0: a prank program intended to give Treo owners a way to escape impromptu office meetings and unwanted social interactions by simulating incoming phone calls.
• Crazy Alarms 2.0: an alarm application that features scheduling alarms for MP3/MIDI alarms, launching applications such as system lock, HotSync and soft reset. Additional features for Treo users include scheduling to turn on and off cellular radio, mute on/off ringtone sound, send SMS and more.
• SpeakSMS 1.0: is a program that speak incoming SMS messages via Text to Speech. It also features the ability to optionally assign a custom pictureID for the SMS sender.
