Earlier this summer, the first reports began to surface of what is supposed to be Palm, Inc.'s next Treo. Now, what appear to be several new pictures of this device have emerged.

According to the unconfirmed reports, there will be both Palm OS and Windows Mobile versions of this smartphone, which has the codename Gandolf. The new images leaked to Palm Infocenter neither confirm nor disprove this, as the unit shown is not on.
The pictures, although typically blurry mobile phone "spy" shots, show a model that, like previous Treos, has a tablet design with an integrated keyboard. However, the overall look of the device has been significantly changed.
No dimensions for the Gandolf are available yet, but it will apparently be smaller than previous smartphones from Palm.
More images of this Treo from several different directions appear on the Palm Infocenter web site.
Update: PIC has published a short video of the Gandolf from the same source as these pictures. It can be viewed on YouTube.
Update 2: The video has been removed from YouTube. It has been replaced by a note saying "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Palm, Inc."
More About the Gandolf
According to earlier rumors, there will be both GSM and CDMA version of this device.
One of the first leaked images showed it with a Vodafone logo, while another report said this model will be coming to Sprint, and will support this CDMA carrier's EV-DO Rev. A network.
Sprint will reportedly charge $200 for this smartphone when it debuts during the fourth quarter of this year.
The Gandolf will supposedly include Bluetooth, a camera, and a microSD memory card slot.
There is no word yet on what the official name for this product will be.
