LogMeIn has just announced that it will bring remote PC access capabilities to the Palm Foleo.
This upcoming model has the general size and shape of a laptop, but some have criticized it for offering fewer features than a similar device running Windows. Allowing a Foleo to remotely control a PC will help close the gap.
"The Foleo is designed for people on the go and -- by using LogMeIn -- they will be able to access their files, documents, photos, and music as if they were at their office or home PC," said Richard Redding, vice president, business development, LogMeIn.

This application lets users see a remote PC's full desktop and control everything on it -- applications, network files, email, printing, and more. It will make the Foleo act like a monitor, mouse, and keyboard for the PC.
More About LogMeIn
There will be two versions of LogMeIn available for the Foleo.
The free version provides remote access to work and home computers, allowing users to view their desktop, files, and network resources.
LogMeIn Pro provides the same remote access, but adds file transfer, remote printing, large-file sharing, and guest-invite features. It costs $12.95 per month, or $69.95 per year for access to a single PC.
This application uses 128- to 256-bit SSL encryption to prevent unauthorized access.
More information on this service can be found on the LogMeIn web site.
