Palm, Inc. has announced that it will unveil a new smartphone in Europe next week, and a web site-based in Europe has what might be some pictures of this device.
Last month, Palm said the Sprint will soon release a model to be called the Palm Centro. Few official details on this device are available now, aside from the fact that this will be Palm's smallest smartphone ever. It will still include a full keyboard and touchscreen, though.
PDAfrance has been leaked several images of what it claims is the Palm Centro. Probably the most interesting of these is a comparison with a BlackBerry Pearl, showing that the Centro will be not much larger than RIM's smallest smartphone.
There are also several pictures that show a bit of this upcoming Palm OS device's user interface.
None of them include a carrier's brand, although some of the images show the device is connected to Orange's network.
If this information is correct, then the Centro will be announced in Europe on September 12. The Sprint version is rumored to be scheduled for a mid-October release.
