AT&T has just announced that it will begin offering tomorrow the BlackBerry 8820, the first smartphone from RIM with Wi-Fi. It will also include a built-in GPS receiver.

This model will offer extensive call management and premium phone features, AT&T’s Push-to-Talk service, Bluetooth, a multimedia player, and a memory card slot for music, photo, and video storage.
It will launch tomorrow online and in AT&T stores across the U.S. This smartphone will sell for $300 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate
Update: As promised, AT&T is now offering the 8820 on its web site.
“The new BlackBerry 8820 builds on AT&T’s leading domestic and international coverage footprint by giving customers the ability to link with their company’s wireless campus network or access email and browse the Web at Wi-Fi hot spots even in the few countries in which we do not have data roaming agreements,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president- Marketing and Operations for AT&T’s wireless unit.
An Overview of the BlackBerry 8820
The BlackBerry 8820 will have a full QWERTY keyboard, and a QVGA screen.
It will also be one of RIM's latest generation of models that include significant support for multimedia, including playing video and MP3 files.
For storing large audio and video files, the 8820's microSD card slot will support SDHC, allowing it to use cards that are as large as 32 GB, when these come on the market. microSD cards with 8 GB of storage are expected later this year.
In addition to 802.11 b, g, and a., it will be a quad-band GSM/GPRS device with EDGE. This BlackBerry will also sport Bluetooth 2.0.
Its built-in GPS receiver.support for such solutions as TeleNav GPS Navigator and TeleNav Track
