Spb Software Kicks Off Fourth Annual Windows Mobile Survey
Spb Software House is now looking for people to participate in its fourth annual Spb Windows Mobile Survey.
Every year this company gathers information about the current Pocket PC community's status and compares it to the previous survey results. This year, for the first time, the this survey will not only seek input from Pocket PC, but also Smartphone users.
All who participate will be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes: a high-end Windows Mobile device of the winner's choice, accessories from JustMobile, as well as $100-worth of Spb software.
The fourth annual Spb Windows Mobile Survey is available on spbsoftwarehouse.com.
The results will be made public on December 18.
New Beta of NetFront Browser 3.4 for Windows Mobile Available
Access Co., Ltd., has introduced the latest technical preview version of NetFront Browser 3.4 for Windows Mobile 5.0.
In addition to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), a U.S. government block-cipher encryption algorithm, this browser for the first time also includes Camellia, a high-security, high-performance international standard cipher.
The technical preview version of NetFront 3.4 for Windows Mobile is available on Access' web site. The trial period for will expire on February 29, 2008.
Nintendo DS Sales Set a New Record
During Thanksgiving week, more than 653,000 Nintendo DS units were sold in the U.S., breaking the previous record of 600,000 Game Boy Advance systems sold during the same period in 2005. It is on track to be the best-selling game system of 2007.
Last month, Nintendo announced that it will begin rolling out new features for the DS in 2008 that will expand the functions of this mobile device beyond simple game playing and make it more useful.
Claro Launches Treo 750 in Brazil
Claro is offering the Palm Treo 750 in Brazil. This Windows Mobile 5 smartphone is able to connect to this telecom's 3G wireless network.
This smartphone combines a mobile phone with email, messaging, web browsing and organization software. It has UMTS/HSDPA (High-speed Download Packet Access) capability and comes with Microsoft's Direct Push Technology.
