T-Mobile Europe has announced plans to offer an upgraded version of the HTC Advantage tablet/smartphone device. Dubbed the T-Mobile Ameo 16 GB, the device will replace the original's 8 GB internal hard drive with a 16 GB model, and include Windows Mobile 6.1.
It's currently unclear whether T-Mobile subsidiaries in other countries will also offer the new Ameo, or whether it will also be released in an unlocked/unbranded version as the original was.
HTC markets the Advantage under its own brand as the X7501. It features a 5-inch VGA display, internal GPS, GSM/3G, TV-out, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
The Ameo 16 GB is slated to be available in April for €460 (US$672) with a two-year contract.
