Everyone knows how well Apple is doing with  iPhone sales, but it far from the only company with a successful  smartphone. HTC has announced that sales of its Touch line have passed the 2 million mark.

Still, this figure isn't high as the iPhone's, which recently reached the 4 million mark in slightly less time.

HTC's series of devices is made up of two models. The original Touch launched in Europe and Asia last summer, while it had its American debut this fall. The second model, the HTC Touch Dual, came on the market more recently, but is already selling well.

Most of HTC's products appeal primarily to business users, but the Touch series has had widespread acceptance among general consumers.

Both of these smartphones run Windows Mobile 6 Professional, and have HTC's TouchFLO system, which makes it easier for users to control them with a fingertip. This and their minimalist designs have caused them to be compared to the iPhone since their debut.

More HTC Results

HTC has also announced that it sold 11.8 million smartphones in 2007, a 12% increase over the previous year.

This led to an increase in company revenue of 12% year over year.
