Wi-Fi service provider Boingo has released updated versions of its software that enable users of Windows Mobile 6 and Symbian UIQ devices to connect to the company's wireless hotspots for about $8 a month.
The company's previous software version for Windows Mobile only officially supported devices up to Windows Mobile 5; the new version adds WM6 compatibility and puts several WM6 devices to the supported devices list.
The Symbian software package is specifically targeted at devices with the UIQ interface, such as Sony Ericsson's high-end touchscreen phones like the W960i. Users of Nokia-style Series 60 devices are already supported by a different version of the Boingo client.
About The Service
Boingo Wireless claims to be the world's largest Wi-Fi hotspot provider, offering users access to over 100,000 hotspot locations worldwide, including 11,000 in the United States, for a flat fee of $7.95 per month for mobile devices or $21.95 per month for laptops.
