Sony Launches Developer Site for mylo COM-2

Today, Sony Electronics launched a developer community site for the second version of of the mylo Mobile Internet Device (MID). The gives users access to the information they need to create their own mylo widgets.

Additional widgets will also be released on a regular basis, courtesy of Sony Electronics.

The Sony mylo COM-2 was officially announced at CES in January, and is now shipping to customers nationwide. For more information on this MID, visit Sony's web site.

Mobile Version of LinkedIn Available

It is now possible to access the business-networking site LinkedIn from any mobile device with a web browser.

Among other features, this allows users to:

• Search LinkedIn profiles (including photos and bio) to help recall and connect with business acquaintances at events and conferences
• Research the common contacts they have with other professionals to help make real world referrals and introductions easier
• Invite professional acquaintances and peers you meet at events to LinkedIn with just their email address

There is a version for standard web browsers and another specially made for the iPhone.

OtterBox Introduces Cases for the Latest BlackBerry Pearl Models

Otter Products, LLC. is now offering the OtterBox 1936 case to protect the new BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and 8130 from RIM. These allow complete access to the smartphones' trackball, sync/charge USB port, camera, and self-portrait mirror while still protecting it from bumps, scratches, and drops.

This case includes a holster-style, swivel belt clip for easier carrying.

These BlackBerry smartphones also feature a magnet proximity sensor to automatically shut off the display to maximize battery life when stored in a holster or case, and this feature is supported with the OtterBox 1936.
