The first Loox by Fujitsu was quite appealing, although it was a dificult find in the US. The first unit will feature both Bluetooth and WiFi built in, the second will contain embedded GPRS.

According to Andy Barker, mobility product business manager with Fujitsu-Siemens, by July 2003 there should be a new version with Wi-Fi connectivity built in. Better still it will feature the company's 'trans-reflective' screen technology. Designed initially for its Tablet style portable computers, this technique apparently permits much better viewing of the screen in bright sunlight.
Working in co-operation with Siemens mobile phone division, Barker expects to have a second Loox with GPRS built-in available Q4 2003. When this happens, Barker predicts Vodafone will be looking very carefully at offering the PDA. More...
Their report claims PXA250 processors, let's just assume that is not correct. Intel is no longer making those units, replacing them with the more power efficient PXA255. It's not known if these units will make it to North America or what the expected pricing will be. Hopefully a few retailers like Mobile Planet will pick them up, as there is a fairly loyal Loox following.
